Very rare Circa 1940's Leni Kuborn-Grothe Heart Brooch. This exquiste, whimsical handmade brooch was made by famous Austrian designer Leni Kuborn-Grothe who designed for Christian Dior and Elsa Shiaparelli during the 1940's and 1950's. She also had her own lengendary boutique and atelier in the celebrity ski area of Kitzbuhel, Austria which was frequented by all of the international stars of the day. This boutique is where this brooch was purchased as it is marked as such. This piece was hand sewn and embroidered with great care and skill using silk, Czech beads, brass, sequins and shells. This piece is in amazing condition for its age and material (silk). All beads and baubles are present and intact. Minimal wear to back near pin closure. This brooch is not bundle eligible.
