Rare and aesthetic, large statement piece of “black rose” octahedral phantom fluorite from a newer, 2022 find out of Beijing, China. A fully natural, collector’s grade display mineral specimen featuring a thick plate of diamond shaped fluorite crystals on a mineral matrix. The intricate fluorite are beautifully etched with an almost druzy look in the light! The fluorite appears black and deep purple in natural lighting but when lit around the edges, the vibrant, violet purple glow through. The witchy fluorite developed on an earlier generation of a lime green fluorite layer. The fluorite crystals have phantom color zoning at the octahedral edges and they are highly UV fluorescent, with a unique red glow! A perfect, self standing Chinese display specimen measuring approximately 6.5 by 5 inches wide and tall, 1.5 inches thick, and weighing just over 2.5 pounds at 2lbs, 9 ounces.
