Antique Montgomery Ward Airline 62-177 6D6 Vacuum Tube Radio, manufactured in the USA in 1935.Dimensions: 17” tall, 15-1/4” wide, and 10-3/4” deep.A true piece of radio history, this model was considered a high-end radio for its time.Constructed using high-quality components, with a cabinet designed by Wards Bureau of Design. Licensed under all R.C.A and Hazeltine patents. The tubes are licensed under R.C.A. patents.Powers on but produces a buzzing sound and some squelching on shortwave frequencies. Internal lights are functional. Requires tube replacement (tubes listed in photos).Seven-tube standard and shortwave receiver. The cabinet is in excellent condition for its age, though not perfect; the fabric behind the grille shows some wear. The dial bezel is intact (not cracked or chipped).Overall, the radio is in excellent condition. It has a replaced plug and wire; all other components appear original. Untested internally.
